This category opened on October 1, 2026. Packs appear here as creators publish them. Made a texture pack? You can sell it here.

Which type of pack do you need?

A plain texture pack changes how vanilla blocks and items look. A 3D item pack adds new items with their own models. A GUI pack restyles menus. For a server, the question is whether you want a new look or new items.

Pack typeWhat it containsPlugin neededBest for
Texture packNew textures for existing blocks, items and mobsNoneGiving the whole server a style

Server license: can I use it on a public or monetized server?

Yes. Buying a pack gives you a license to use it on your own Minecraft servers, public or private, and that license does not restrict server monetization. What you cannot do is redistribute, resell or share the pack files.

Your players downloading the pack when they join, through the server's resource-pack setting, is the normal use of a server pack and is covered. Posting the zip on a download site, handing it to another server owner or bundling it in something you sell is redistribution. The creator keeps ownership of the work. Full wording: Terms of Service, sections 6 to 8.

Running a paid rank or a shop on your server is a separate matter, governed by Mojang's Minecraft Usage Guidelines, not by the pack license.

Compatibility: versions, Java vs Bedrock, plugins

The packs here are Java Edition resource packs, and each pack page lists the plugins it requires and the version it was made for. Bedrock clients cannot load a Java pack without a converted version.

  • Minecraft 1.21.4 changed how custom items get their look. Item model components replaced CustomModelData, so a pack built for one system needs adapting for the other: check the version a pack was made for before buying. How custom item textures work.
  • Bedrock and Geyser. Bedrock uses its own pack format. A server that lets Bedrock players in through Geyser serves them a converted pack, which you build separately.
  • ItemsAdder, Oraxen, Nexo, ExecutableItems. Models and textures in a resource pack are standard files, so any of these plugins can point custom items at them. If a pack ships item configs, its page says which plugin they are written for. ExecutableItems vs Nexo and Oraxen.
  • Client mods. Server packs work on the vanilla client. Players do not need OptiFine, Sodium or Iris to see them.

How to install a texture pack in Minecraft

In Java Edition, open Options, then Resource Packs, click Open Pack Folder, drop the zip inside, move the pack to the Selected column and click Done. On a server, you set the pack once in server.properties and every player gets it when they join.

In your own game

  1. Download the pack as a .zip file. Do not unzip it: Minecraft reads the archive directly.
  2. Open the pack folder from Options, Resource Packs, Open Pack Folder. It is the resourcepacks folder of your game directory.
  3. Drop the zip in, go back to the game and move the pack from Available to Selected. Packs higher in the list override the ones below.
  4. Click Done. The game reloads its textures; a pack made for another version shows a warning but can still load.

On Bedrock Edition, a pack comes as a .mcpack file: opening it imports the pack, which you then activate under Settings, Global Resources.

On your Minecraft server

Upload the zip to a direct-download URL, compute its SHA-1 hash, set resource-pack and resource-pack-sha1 in server.properties, then restart. Players get the pack on their next join.

  1. Host the zip. The URL must download the file directly, not open a preview page. A web server, a CDN or a pack host all work.
  2. Compute the SHA-1. sha1sum pack.zip on Linux and macOS, certutil -hashfile pack.zip SHA1 on Windows. The client uses it to check the file and to cache it.
  3. Edit server.properties as shown, then restart the server.
  4. On every pack update, change the hash. With the old hash, players keep the cached version.

With ExecutableItems on a 1.20.5 or later server, the plugin can send the pack to players itself: turn on enableTexturesPack and set texturesPackUrl in its config. ExecutableItems general configuration.

16x, 32x, 64x: resolution, pack size and FPS

Each step up in resolution multiplies the pixels per texture by four. For a server pack, 16x or 32x keeps the download short and runs on any PC; 64x and above suit packs that retexture only a few items.

ResolutionPixels per texturevs vanillaOn a server
16x2561xVanilla size, safe for every player
32x1,0244xSharper, still light
64x4,09616xFine for a few items, heavy for a full retexture
128x16,38464xLong download, weak PCs lose FPS

For a pack with 3D models, the weight comes from its models as much as its textures: the model count tells you more than the resolution does.

How much does a Minecraft texture pack cost?

Packs on SPlugins are paid once, updates included. A pack commissioned from an artist costs more, because it is drawn for a single server.

Free packs exist on community sites, but check each license before serving one to your players: a server sends the files to everyone who joins. A paid pack here comes with that right written down.

Updates, refunds and support

A purchase is a lifetime license: every new version of the pack is downloadable from its page at no extra cost. Purchases are final and non-refundable once the pack is available for download, without prejudice to any right to a refund that applies to you by law.

Each pack page names its creator and shows buyer reviews, and the SPlugins Discord is open for install help.

Texture pack guides

Frequently asked questions

Where can I buy a Minecraft texture pack for my server?

+

On SPlugins you can buy server-ready resource packs for Java Edition: custom textures, models and GUI packs published by independent creators. Payment is by card, the download is instant and the license covers your own servers.

Can I use a purchased texture pack on a public or monetized server?

+

Yes. A purchase gives you a license to use the pack on your own Minecraft servers, public or private, and the SPlugins license does not restrict server monetization. Selling things to players is governed separately by Mojang's Minecraft Usage Guidelines. What the license forbids is redistributing, reselling or sharing the pack files themselves.

Is sending the pack to my players redistribution?

+

No. Players downloading the pack automatically when they join your server, through the resource-pack setting, is the normal way a server pack is used. Posting the zip publicly, giving it to another server owner or reselling it is redistribution, and is not allowed.

Do these texture packs work on Bedrock Edition?

+

No. They are Java Edition resource packs. Bedrock uses a different pack format, so a Java pack does not load on Bedrock clients; servers that accept Bedrock players through Geyser need a separately converted pack.

Which Minecraft versions are supported?

+

Each pack page says which version it was made for and what it requires. Minecraft has used year-based version numbers (26.1, 26.2, 26.3) since 2026, and since 1.21.4 custom items use item model components instead of CustomModelData, so check the version a pack was made for before buying.

How do I install a texture pack in Minecraft?

+

In Java Edition, open Options, then Resource Packs, click Open Pack Folder and drop the zip inside without unzipping it. Back in the game, move the pack to the Selected column and click Done. On Bedrock Edition, open the .mcpack file to import it, then activate it under Settings, Global Resources.

How do I add a resource pack to my Minecraft server?

+

Host the zip on a direct-download URL, compute its SHA-1 hash, then set resource-pack and resource-pack-sha1 in server.properties and restart. Add require-resource-pack=true to make it mandatory. With ExecutableItems on a 1.20.5 or later server, the plugin can send the pack to players itself from the URL set in its config.

How much does a Minecraft texture pack cost?

+

Packs on SPlugins are paid once, with updates included. A pack commissioned from an artist costs more because it is made for one server only.

Are updates included, and is a pack refundable?

+

Updates are included: a purchase is a lifetime license, and every new version of the pack is downloadable from the same page. Because packs are digital, purchases are final and non-refundable once the pack is available for download, without prejudice to any right to a refund that applies to you by law.

What is the difference between a texture pack and a resource pack?

+

Nothing for a buyer. Minecraft replaced texture packs with resource packs in version 1.6.1 (2013): a resource pack holds textures plus models, sounds, fonts and languages. Players still say texture pack for both.

Can I sell my own texture pack on SPlugins?

+

Yes. Any creator can publish a pack from their dashboard and get paid through Stripe. SPlugins keeps a 15% commission on each sale.
